The Makeup Artist

Course Outline

Being your own makeup artist means taking that extra step in the morning to put on your best face in order to give your best performance throughout the day. This class will teach you how to achieve a polished look from start to finish.

What You Will Learn:

• Skincare analysis: A completed skincare evaluation to determine your unique skin care needs for your own formulation of high quality skincare products.
• Proper treatment: The complete blend of a refreshing toner, a comforting moisturizer to keep your skin smooth and subtle, and any additional treatments as necessary.
• Makeup application: I will show you the beauty basics and help you create your own signature look.
• Eyelash Application: Learn how to properly apply lashes successfully every time.
• Makeup lesson: I will personally coach you on how to be your own makeup artist by completing half of your face (with you watching my techniques in the mirror) and allowing you to take practice following the same exact steps as you compete the other half of your face with my guidance. A very beneficial experience for every woman!
• Face chart: A visual guide to help you recreate your new makeup look at home with step by step demonstrations on how to use the skills that you learned on a daily basis.

Investment: $150 for 2 hours of one-on-one coaching

Course Outline

This intensive course will allow you to ensure the quality and confidence in your work needed to be a successful makeup artist. This customized class caters to you as a unique artist by offering the opportunity to have control over what type of model and style you would like to receive more professional practice with. Learn the secrets of creating a flawless finish that are both natural enough for everyday and highly pigmented enough for film.

What You Will Learn:

• Proper client consultation and airbrush formula selection
• Camouflage and paramedical techniques for face, body, scalp and hair.
• Stencil techniques and applications for fashion and fantasy.
• Learn how to airbrush your own makeup and how to apply it on a client.
• Learn how to produce high definition quality makeup quickly, consistently and confidently.
• Learn color principles, artistic strategies and techniques.
• Know when to use matte and sheen finishing, and proper blending and contouring techniques.
• Enhance your clients beauty with multi-shade micro-pointillism™ coverage method.
• Learn how to cover, lighten or create freckles, age spots, birthmarks, veins, lines, wrinkles and bruises for a realistic feel to the skin.
• Stencil and application techniques for eyebrows and eye shadows.
• How to virtually eliminate touch-ups.
• Learn to achieve easier, faster and coverage that feels extraordinarily light.
• Special techniques for print, TV, film, and wedding.
• Operation and maintenance of your airbrush.

• 5 hours of intensive, hands-on training
• 25 hours of interning with a professional makeup artist (optional upon request)

Course Outline

This course will teach you the skills to apply bridal makeup to your clients with professionalism and confidence. During this course you will be maximizing your skills by combining the use of airbrush and conventional makeup to achieve the perfect look for your client's special day.

What You Will Learn:

• Know how to properly consult with your client to create the exact look your client envisions for her wedding day.
• Learn how to create the perfect complexion for your clients in applying foundation, bronzer, and blush with the use of professional airbrushing equipment.
• Create confidence in your color selection based on your customer's skin tone and undertone.
• Using conventional makeup, I will show you the tricks of applying eyeshadow for a perfectly blended look based on your client’s ethnicity, eye color, and personal preferences to achieve her desired wedding look.
• I will show you how to create fuller, more defined lips and how to make your brides lip color last using any formula of lipstick.
• You will learn how to successfully apply lashes to your client with ease and confidence.
• Familiarize yourself with creating a custom Face Chart for your bride to close your consultation.
