The Makeup Artist

Education: Chanelle has achieved a diverse education in six areas of busine ss including: Computerized Office Accounting, Small Business Management, Customer Service, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, and Public Speaking. She is also certified in the use of artistry airbrushing and creating customized cosmetics. Chanelle is an autodydactic (self-motivated) student as she aims toward achieving an education that is directly applicative towards her goals. She continues to update her skills and knowledge as a dedicated lifelong student.

Experience: While in college, Chanelle began her career as a freelance makeup artist working for special events at department stores and beauty salons. As a freelancer, she specialized in conducting makeup applications for special events in such locations as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Saks, ULTA and Sephora stores throughout San Diego and Orange County. She has also conducted trainings for several lines and has taught at Je Boutique College of Beauty. Within her first two years as an artist, Chanelle was in high demand working for a dozen leading cosmetic lines at one time; including Chanel, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown and Bourjois just to name a few. Her well-rounded knowledge of beauty products on the market allows her to be savvy and honest with her clients.

Business: After quickly mastering the makeup field, Chanelle created her first company, The Makeup Artist, to provide her clients with on-the-go beauty services for their most special events, delivering beauty at its finest. With her third year in business, Chanelle has now created a place to come and relax to get gorgeous and be beautiful at her private style studio.  Her second company, the San Diego Beauty Team, offers opportunities for other aspiring makeup artists. She is very supportive of other artists in her industry and offers custom classes, interning and job opportunities for graduates of her beauty program. Chanelle has also recently established her own private line of cosmetics to better serve her clients. When it comes to her industry, Chanelle loves to do makeup, teach makeup, and create makeup! She works hard at mastering her field as an artist.
